Post  Admin Sat Aug 08, 2009 1:16 pm

Currently this is the ranking system in place for posts

    Private -- 1
    Corporal -- 50
    Junior Sergeant -- 100
    Sergeant -- 150
    Senior Sergeant -- 200
    Master Sergeant -- 300
    Junior Lieutenant -- 400
    Lieutenant -- 500
    Senior Lieutenant -- 600
    Captain -- 700
    Major -- 800
    Lt. Colonel -- 900
    Colonel -- 1000

I will reserve the warrent ranks for special users and haven't decided about generals, probably for my moderators

That is how it stands now.

If you want to help with that, you can take this URL...

    http://russiadefence.forumotion.com/

...and post it in forum signatures, homepage, or blogs that you frequent. Also linking our forum topics to other sites will make what is called backlinks which will up the page rank of this site, therby getting a better page rank, therby getting more people. This is what I have been spending most of my time doing, and my efforts have gotten the homepage on the first and second pages of Google. We need to keep it up if we want to stay there or go up.

I am setting it under profiles as home page. Because I have gotten banned from a lot of forums in the past for advertising in sigs (as well as being belligerent and comparing some moderators to Charles Manson).

This is in the announcements section of this forum and is for information about this forum... it is not a general discussion thread or thread for personal rankings of things.

Basically if you look at Vlads first post he is explaining the ranking system of this forum.

For example you have 90 odd posts so your rank (below your avatar on the left of your posts) is Corporal... a few more posts and you will be a Junior Sergeant with a different shoulder board rank.

In other words this thread is information to explain to people why they are the rank they are.. it is based on the number of posts they have made.

It is not the place to post other rankings... do that in a relevant forum... ie the best armies or largest armies should be in the relevant army section or international section.

The irony is not lost on me - this ranking system is like the one in the real army ; you'll never make it past Colonel Smile

At the time I made the rank structure I didn't think people would post enough to worry about it so i left out the other general ranks. Now I don't have the matching rank template for the shoulder boards here... and i really don't feel like reformatting all the ranks again.
