Lavrov Says Obama’s Remarks Prove Direct US Involvement in Ukraine Coup

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Obama's remarks about "power transition" in Ukraine are "proof that the United States was involved in the anti-government coup."

BEIJING, February 2 (Sputnik) – US President Barack Obama's remarks that the United States "had brokered a deal to transition power in Ukraine" last year prove that Washington was directly involved in the anti-constitutional coup in the country, Russia's top diplomat said Monday.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Obama's remarks are "proof that from the very beginning, the United States was involved in the anti-government coup that president Obama neutrally described as a 'power transition.'"

The February 22, 2014 coup, that took place right after then-President Viktor Yanukovych signed an internationally brokered national reconciliation deal with the opposition, brought a pro-Western government with a strong nationalist element to power.

The coup-installed government's initiatives against the country's Russian-speaking citizens forced Crimea to seek reunification with Russia and triggered a profound political confrontation that turned into a bloody civil conflict in the east of Ukraine.
"Obama's rhetoric… demonstrates Washington's intention to continue every kind of support to the Kiev government, which apparently intends to end the conflict through violence," Lavrov continued.

"All over the world, our Western partners call for a dialogue between the government and the opposition, be it Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, South Sudan," the minister went on. "But, for some reason, Ukraine is an exception and our Western partners avoid calling for a dialogue as far as Ukraine is concerned, they only call for all kinds of support for Kiev."

Raised tensions in Ukraine have led to the deterioration of relations between Moscow and Washington, with the United States accusing Russia of meddling in Ukraine's internal affairs and escalating the crisis in the country's eastern regions.
Moscow has denied the allegations, repeatedly calling for political settlement to the conflict. Russia, alongside the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), served as a mediator in Contact Group talks in Minsk in September 2014, which led to a ceasefire agreement between the warring sides. However, the ceasefire has been broken on numerous occasions.

If washington kept saying moscow is meddling, and I was authority in Moscow, I would just respond: So what?

Then proceed to demand for evidence or shut it, and point out theor meddling in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. Point out how they are a bunch of lying hypocrites and just cut relations and provide full support to rebels. Then tell US if they dont want us to support rebles, they need to back the f off, and if they dont, mention how you will support anti american groups. Acrew what the idiots who love in US or Poland or Latvia or whatever think/say. They are going to hate Russians anway since they were bred that way anyway.

Yes. Obama's model for regime change varies from military coup (Syria, Lybia) to political coup (Paraguay and now Ukraine). In June 22nd, 2012, Paraguay's Senate overthrew legitimate President elect Fernando Lugo and was replaced by US hand-picked vice-president Federico Franco. Along with Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and Uruguay, Paraguay was a Mercosur member, a much US antagonized South American bloc.

Let him support the Kiev Regime. US support for ISIS and Friends opened a lot of eyes stateside. Now, the US government is supporting a Regime that's waving Nazi flags and bombing their own people. Pure gold.  Laughing

The less the US government can cling to the "good guy" image they're so proud of, the better.

Don't be fooled around by Nobel Barack: sequestration nearby.

Obama Asks US for $168Mln to Counter Russia in Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia

Barack Obama requested nearly $170 million to respond to alleged Russian interference in Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova in his 2016 budget proposal submitted on Monday, budget proposal also includes $789 million to continue and expand US military presence in Europe.

WASHINGTON, February 2 (Sputnik) – US President Barack Obama requested nearly $170 million to respond to alleged Russian interference in Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova in his 2016 budget proposal submitted on Monday.
“To increase resilience within the governments and economies most targeted by Russian pressure, the Budget provides an additional $117 million in foreign assistance funds directed specifically toward countering Russian aggressive acts in Ukraine, and $51 million for countering Russian pres-sure and destabilizing activities in Moldova and Georgia,” according to the budget proposal.

The budget also includes funds to bolster NATO and Ukraine to prevent further Russian pressure in the region, the White House said.

US President Barack Obama is unveiling on Monday a $3.99-trillion budget for 2016 aimed at improving the country’s infrastructure and helping the middle class, to be partially paid for by tax hikes.

“In response to the Russian Federation’s aggressive acts, the Budget includes proposals for political, economic, and military support to NATO allies and partner states in Europe, including the governments most targeted by Russian pressure,” the White House said. “This includes funding to support efforts to bolster democracy and good governance, increase the capabilities of security forces, strengthen the rule of law and anti-corruption measures, and promote European Union integration, trade, and energy security.”

Barack Obama’s budget proposal includes $789 million to continue and expand US military presence in Europe, the White House statement released Monday said.

“To bolster security and reassure NATO allies and partner states in Europe, the Budget provides $789 million to continue the European Reassurance Initiative (ERI). ERI funding will enable the Unites States to continue increased military exercises, training, and rotational presence in Europe, enhance U.S. preparedness to reinforce NATO allies through the prepositioning of equipment, and build the capacity of partner states in Europe to operate alongside the United States and NATO in strengthening regional security,” the White House statement said.

The Obama Administration requests $8.8 billion to fight the Islamic state (IS), according to the budget plan released by the White House on Monday.

"As part of the US effort to degrade and ultimately defeat ISIL, support security and governance, continue efforts in Iraq, support regional partners, and bring stability and promote the conditions for a negotiated settlement to end the conflict in Syria, the Budget proposes $8.8 billion in OCO [Overseas Contingency Operations] funds for DOD [Department of Defense] and State/OIP [Other International Programs]," the release read.

US President Barack Obama would not support a budget proposal that includes mandatory cuts to defense spending, known as sequestration, according to the president’s speech Monday.

“I’m not going to accept a budget that locks in sequestration going forward. It would be bad for our security and bad for our growth,” Obama said on Monday announcing his nearly $4 trillion fiscal 2016 budget.

The administration of US President Barack Obama will put forward a $561 billion national defense budget alongside an additional $58 billion for overseas operations in fiscal year 2016, the White House announced on Monday.

“The Budget provides $561 billion in base discretionary funding for national defense…and $58 billion for Overseas Contingency Operations to provide the resources needed to sustain the President’s national security strategy, protecting the country’s security and well-being both at home and abroad,” the White House said in a press release outline the nearly $4 trillion US budget for fiscal year 2016, which begins in October.

The defense budget, if approved by Congress, would be $38 billion above mandatory caps on the defense budget, known as sequestration.

The budget will provide for ongoing support operations in Afghanistan, as well as provide funding for the US-led coalition’s campaign in Syria and Iraq to combat the Islamic State. Under the proposed budget, funding will be provided to train and equip Iraqi security forces and “bring stability and promote the conditions for a negotiated settlement to end the conflict in Syria.”

Obama’s budget proposal for 2016 provides for $14 billion to be allocated to US cybersecurity enhancement, according to the press release issued by US Administration’s Office of Management and Budget on Monday.

“The budget provides $14 billion to support cybersecurity efforts across the [US] government to strengthen US cybersecurity defenses and make cyberspace more secure,” the press release said.

Collapse the petro dollar and then see how these bastards can have these kinds of budgets.
