Very much possible. I do have hope for the future as it seems Putin has managed to get a lot of nationalists on his side and in some form of power (governors, military, etc). So I only hope there is someone he has picked out, much like Yeltsin picked Putin out, to be his successor.

I think you need to understand that Russia is viewed as an enemy by the USA. You guys should do the same.

Gotcha! Of Those Who Want To Destroy Russia

    http://thesaker.is/gotcha-of-those-who-want-to-destroy-russia/?inmoderation

In September, a Russian private TV channel REN.TV released a documentary that has immediately become a hit in Russia: Попались! Кто хочет развалить страну

REV TV is known for their excellent investigative reporting in geopolitics, Russia’s political movements, and modern warfare.

An investigation by the ren.tv reporters reveals the truth about the forces that are desperately trying to destroy our beloved Russia. What are those people? Who pays them and what do they try to achieve? These and other questions are answered in this important and timely video report.  On September 18, 2016, Russia will hold a parliamentary elections. These elections are already branded as “rigged” by the Washington paid “opposition.” The US and its allies have been working hard on organizing the Maidan style protests immediately following the election that have already been called a “bloodiest revolution in Russia’s history.”

As you can see, the liberal hysteria is in full swing.

The video has been translated by Tatzhit Mihailovich, discovered, by the way, by the Saker.

Special thanks to Baaz, for scouting the English translation in timely manner.

    https://www.rt.com/politics/359978-leftist-leader-says-latest-russian/?utm_source=browser&utm_medium=aplication_chrome&utm_campaign=chrome

The head of the center-left party Fair Russia has told the press that he saw the constant presence of four major parties in the parliament as a pre-requisite to a genuine two-party system in the country with rightist and leftist centers.

“In essence we are now witnessing the beginning of formation of a real two-party system. I think that as we put the organization of political parties and elections in order we would push the situation towards the formation of a two- or three-party system in the Russian Federation,” Sergey Mironov was quoted as saying by Interfax.

“I see this possibility and I see that all prerequisites for this already exist. For the third time in a row four political parties will be represented in the State Duma,” he added. Mironov also explained that the two-party system could be formed around the rightist center represented by United Russia and the Liberal Democratic Party and the leftist center formed by Fair Russia and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky countered Mironov’s proposal with his own plan to launch a three-party system in Russia, saying that this system should include United Russia, LDPR and a major political bloc including all parties that failed to get parliamentary seats in Sunday elections.

“A three-party regime would be acceptable for us. United Russia as conservatives, LDPR and a large party without [Yabloko party founder Grigory] Yavlinsky, [KPRF leader Gennady] Zyuganov and without Mironov,” Zhirinovsky told reporters.

Even in such a way United Russia will always be the dominant party. LDPR and CPRF are rivals in ideology and can not be merged. If they merged it would be possible to challenge UR party some time in future

Putin: USSR could have been reformed, there was no need to destroy it

The Communist Party of the Soviet Union should have transformed the bloc into a democratic entity rather than see it collapse, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

“You know my attitude towards the collapse of the Soviet Union. There was no need to do it. Reforms could have been undertaken, including those of democratic nature,” the Russian president told the leaders of the parties which won seats in last week's general election.

Fully agreed with reforms vs destruction. Too many traitors and what´s worse morons in elites. Chinese in Tien An Men showed right way to keep state on course against west sponsored movements.

neeh too late, if in 2016 anybody in Russia tried to make maidan he would end up poorly. Not much potential but branding traitors has to be repeated as they should not be able to hide from light as cockroaches do.

The rural towns and villages are usually the most "exclusive" (racist, whatnot). So this video tells you a lot
about the real Russia. There is no ingrained racism and Russia has been a multi-ethnic and multi-racial
entity for centuries. Of course, that does not mean every Russian is good in this regard. There are plenty
of retards that need to leverage differences to boost their own egos.
