Hello TR1, do you have more details in this? are they impressed with radar? interface? performance?

Bogdan has been very flattering of the new flight characteristics of the Su-35 vs the Su-27.

I havn't heard him say anything about radar, but I think the facts speak for themselves. In testing videos the Irbis grossly out-ranges the N-001V.
The defensive suit is on another level as well.

That's nothing, back in USSR days 971 boats were laid down, and commissioned within a year :O .
Kilos took less than half a year!

Amur (fastest at construction) was reputed to be a really good yard for submarines too, and now it has decayed massively...

    Interesting little chart.
Confirms that that Vietnam is joining the list of Yak-130 and Pantsir-S1 exports.
Further I did not know Vietnam bought Buk and S-300PMU2.

Pretty comprehensive stuff all in all.
Didn't hear about the recent orders, but they've already got the S-300PMU-1 and the 55Zh6 radar.

Hope to see their Buk-M2s too soon. And Yak-130s. And more Sukhois. And ...and... Very Happy

I don't think that there is even an aircraft existing to fit in a su-34 without wings in it, most probably ps.

That's a Photoshop image, I think it's one of the Indonesian deliveries that they altered. And yes, I bet you could get a wingless Su-34 into an An-124. It's not like the fuselage got wider. If it can accomodate the taller cockpit it'd fit just fine.

Just something from the rumour mill, some of it might have been stated before, but apparently Vietnam is the country that will get the 6 remaining ex-indian Su-30K from Belarus (12 already going to Angola), and some (presumably in the know) posters are fairly confident about future orders for Su-34 and Su-35. Wait and see i guess.
