Yeap. Too expensive and not really all that practical. Was cool looking and had neat features, but the project was not really needed.

How is the belarussian economy lately? Is it in deficit or debt from upgrading its military? How is the popularity of Bat'ka currently? I hope he's not hanging from a hair in power. After all Belarus is the only succefsul soviet style state currently and I hope its stays strong so that the left can still be a force in eastern europe before it's completely overrun by exploitating libertarian douches.

    2T stalker

    Post  d_taddei2 on Mon Jun 16, 2014 6:10 pm

Hi all wonder if anyone can shed some light, Does anyone know if this is in service, and seeing as its had some Russian input wonder if any were bought for Russian special forces. Seems like a pretty good vehicle and capable of holding its own in most situations. Its good to see something reasonable come from the defence sector of ex soviet countries.

Nice, any images yet in azeri service?

On another note, any idea when the  4 Yak-130 would be delivered? Also, what about the returning of the Su-27 to service, i was reading in an older magazine that the first 4 were planned to be shown during Belarus's independence day parade this year. What is the status? Thanks.

Russian Yak-130 jets and a squadron of Tor-M2 air defense systems

Belarus plans to purchase four Russian Yak-130 operational trainers and a squadron of Tor-M2 air defense systems, Kommersant reports.

«Belarus purchased a number of Tor air defense systems and Yak-130 jets and it is going to purchase more. The requests have been signed and the decisions have been made. Yesterday I signed a list, which permits the deliveries. Now we have to sign the contracts and then start the deliveries», — Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Konstantin Biryulin, told ITAR-TASS.
