Well I found a solution. Apparently twitter loves to know your location so it wants to track you. And there's a firefox settings which prevents them to do so. As a result they don't show their twimg embedded images. Turning of "tracking protection" option of firefox solved my issue.

PS: I've searched on forums, not sure twitter is doing this intentionally. Because you can actually see images in twitter itself with tracking protection on! Also only twimg tags are causing the trouble so far (But there are some other cases happened, mostly in 2014 and some in 2016 and those bugs are fixed after reporting). So they might need a new guy for that job or just need to fix it. OR they need to stop stalking about our location Razz

New Mi-26 helicopter for the Eastern Military District

As the press service of the Eastern Military District reported on October 17, 2017, the transport helicopter Mi-26T [actually Mi-26] was completed for the connection of the army aviation of the Eastern Military District, based in the Khabarovsk Territory.

In the near future, the world's largest serially produced helicopter will fly to a permanent airfield.

    Mi-8/17, Μi-38, Mi-26: News - Page 9 4787855_original

The VVO press release goes on to say that "it's worth noting that the pilots of the army aviation unit of the Air Defense Forces are on regular duty in the Arctic zone of responsibility of the district. The crew of the Mi-26 transport helicopter fly over 4,000 kilometers from Khabarovsk to the Anadyr airfield (Chukotka Autonomous District ) with several plantings on the islands of the Kuril ridge.

In the Arctic zone of responsibility of the Eastern Military District, the crew of the military transport helicopter Mi-26 has been carrying out tasks for several months to deliver personnel and cargo of various purposes to Wrangel Island and Cape Schmidt. "

The bmpd comment. Thus, we are talking about the arrival in the newly formed 18th Army Aviation Brigade of the 11th Krasnoznamennaya Army Air Force and Air Defense VVO at the airfield Khabarovsk (the brigade was formed on December 1, 2016 on the basis of the 573rd aviation base of the army aviation stationed there) yet another heavy transport helicopter Mi-26 new construction JSC "Rostvertol" (Rostov-on-Don, part of the JSC "Helicopters of Russia").

This helicopter with the serial number "12 blue" (presumed serial number 34001212656, supposed serial number 34-06), is the third Mi-26 helicopter built for Rosteertol in 2017 for the Russian Defense Ministry.

Earlier in early August, 2017, the Mi-26 helicopter Mi-26, a new construction with the onboard number "85 blue" (serial number 34001212653, serial number 34) entered the same 18th brigade of the army aviation of the 11th Krasnoznamennaya Army Air Force and Air Defense VVO at the airfield Khabarovsk. -03).

Before that, in March 2017, the Ministry of Defense was given a new Mi-26 helicopter with the registration number "80 white" (registration number RF-13382, serial number 34001212655, serial number 34-05), which was part of the 15th Army Aviation Brigade 6th Leningrad Red Banner Army Air Force and Air Defense of the Western Military District to the airfield Ostrov (Pskov region) (it is reported that in fact this board is constantly based on the airfield of Levashovo Leningrad region).

Supplies of Mi-26 helicopters of new construction to the Ministry of Defense of Russia were resumed after a two-year hiatus at the end of 2016, when the helicopter with the serial number "70 red" (serial number 34001212654, serial number 34-04) was delivered by Rostvertol in the "Arctic" performance, which was part of the grouping of the 45th Army Air Force and Air Defense of the Northern Fleet.
Earlier, under the contract for 2010, 18 military helicopters were built for 18 Mi-26 helicopters in 2011-2014. The 18th helicopter in this contract was the above mentioned helicopter with the on-board number "70 red" (34-04) in the "Arctic "performance, surrendered in 2016).

In April 2016, the Ministry of Defense of Russia concluded a contract with JSC Helicopters of Russia for two regular Mi-26 helicopters, which should be delivered in 2018.

In addition, it was reported that at the end of 2017, Rostvertol should have built the first copy of the modernized Mi-26 helicopter in the package proposed by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia concluded a contract for ten Mi-8AMTSH helicopters

As reported on December 20, 2017 by the Department of Information and Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, within the framework of the implementation of the state defense order of the State Defense Order of Russia in 2018-2020, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and JSC Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant (UUAZ) concluded state contracts for the supply of Aerospace the forces of Russia Mi-8AMTSh-V and Mi-8AMTSh helicopters in the "salon" configuration.

According to the terms of the contract, until the end of 2018, two newest Mi-AMTSH-B helicopters will be transferred to the MKS, and by the end of 2019 - eight Mi-8AMTSh helicopters in the "salon" configuration.

    Mi-8/17, Μi-38, Mi-26: News - Page 9 097604

For reference: Mi-8AMTSH-V is a further development of the helicopter range of Mi-8AMTSH transport-combat helicopters.

Mi-8AMTSH "salon" is intended for the transport of personnel of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

Both types of helicopters can be used for transport, search and rescue, medical evacuation operations, as well as for special tasks. They are equipped with modern flight control and navigation equipment and a communication complex. In addition, the helicopters are adapted to use night vision goggles, which allows you to fly in the dark at very low altitudes, as well as take off and landing from unequipped areas.

The power plant of helicopters provides for the installation of Russian VK-2500-03 engines with increased power and a strengthened transmission, which makes the application of technology more efficient in high-altitude and hot-climate areas. Helicopters are also equipped with the satellite navigation system "BMS-indicator", as well as the digital navigation system CNS-02.

All helicopters will be adapted to the installation of laser on-board defense systems.

    The bmpd comment.
Recall that the helicopters Mi-8AMTSH-1 in the kit "Salon" were developed initially by the decision of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation N. Makarov dated July 1, 2011, and two such helicopters costing 304 million rubles each were supplied by UUAZ by the Ministry of Defense December 1, 2012 under a contract dated August 1, 2011, for use by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The order of these helicopters was actively used in a campaign in the media against the then Defense Minister A.E. Serdyukov. At least one more helicopter of such a configuration was later manufactured for aviation by the FSB.

Mass production of Mi-38 helicopter started

The Kazan helicopter plant launched five medium-sized multi-purpose Mi-38s in serial production, both in military and civilian versions.10 January 2018, 11:08
    Mi-8/17, Μi-38, Mi-26: News - Page 9 Ver1-0-content-images-store-5-13-85e4becd-0e6f-4d7c-adaf-995ba1ac2f0f-full

The Kazan helicopter plant began serial production of five medium-sized multipurpose Mi-38 helicopters in military and civilian versions. As  reported

in reference to a source in the aviation industry, technical documentation for the serial machines is already ready. The military version of the Mi-38 Mi-38T has some differences from the civil one and must undergo additional tests.

The development of the multipurpose Mi-38 helicopter with pauses has been under way since 1981. In 1991 the model of the car was presented for the first time, and in 2003 the helicopter made its first flight. The Mi-38 has a length of 19.9 meters, a width of 4.5 meters, and the diameter of the main rotor - 21.1 meters. The machine is capable of speeding up to 320 kilometers per hour and carrying loads of between five and six tons to a distance of 1.3 thousand kilometers.

Mi-38 is made according to the classical helicopter scheme. It is equipped with a six-blade rotor and an X-shaped steering screw. The blades of the screws are made of carbon fiber. Initially, the Mi-38 was planned to equip the American PW127TS turbo engines with take-off power of 2.5 thousand horsepower.

Now, as the main power plant for the car, turbine TV7-117V with a takeoff capacity of 2.8 thousand horsepower has been selected. These engines are developed on the basis of aircraft turboprop TV7-117C, intended for installation on military transport aircraft Il-112V and passenger Il-114.

As expected, after the start of mass production, the Mi-38 will fill a niche between light multi-purpose Mi-8 helicopters and heavy Mi-26 transport vehicles. The Ministry of Defense of Russia ordered 15 new vehicles, the first two of which should be delivered to the military department in 2018 and 2019.

To date, the Kazan Helicopter Plant has collected four Mi-38 flight models, which are currently being certified. These checks are planned to be completed before the end of this year. As part of the certification tests, the helicopter will be checked in conditions of heat and strong cold, as well as in the highlands.

At the end of May last year, the first full-fledged mission was fulfilled by the multi-purpose Ka-62 helicopter. The tests of the aircraft were successful. During the Ka-62 flight test pilots checked its stability and controllability. During the first flight, the Ka-62 flew in a circle at a speed of 110 kilometers per hour.

The development of the Ka-62 has been underway since 2011. The helicopter was originally designed as a civilian version of the military multi-purpose helicopter Ka-60, but later became an independent development. According to unconfirmed reports, the work on the Ka-60 project is currently suspended and will be resumed after the completion of the Ka-62 development.

The maximum take-off mass of the Ka-62 is 6.5 tons, and the carrying capacity is up to 2.5 tons on the external suspension. The car can carry up to 15 passengers. According to the project, the helicopter will be able to reach speeds of up to 308 kilometers per hour and operate flights up to a distance of 770 kilometers.
